When you make images smaller, quality is preserved. When enlarging, some softness is expected because the tool must interpolate new pixels. For best results when enlarging, keep the scale under 2x.

When the aspect ratio is locked (chain icon), changing the width automatically adjusts the height proportionally — and vice versa. This prevents your image from appearing stretched or squished.
When using a social media preset, the tool uses 'cover' mode: it scales the image to fill the entire target area, cropping overflow edges if needed. This ensures no empty space in the output.
You can resize to any dimensions up to 10,000 x 10,000 pixels. Since the processing runs in your browser, very large images depend on your device's available memory.
