Click the 'Circle' shape button above the crop controls. The tool will apply a circular mask to your crop region. Circle crops are always saved as PNG to preserve the transparent background outside the circle.
The tool includes Free (no constraint), 1:1 (square), 4:3 (standard photo), 3:2 (DSLR photo), 16:9 (widescreen/video), and 9:16 (vertical/mobile). Select 'Free' to crop to any custom proportion.

No. Cropping extracts the selected region at full original resolution. The only quality change is the standard re-encoding to your output format (JPEG at 92% quality, PNG lossless).
You can crop JPEG, PNG, WebP, and HEIC/HEIF files. HEIC files from iPhones are automatically converted first. The output matches your input format, except circle crops which always output PNG.
